How OneTrack started...

How OneTrack started...

Three years ago I was sponsoring two athletes. One was a high-level Age-Group Triathlete and one was an Ultra Marathon runner. I was looking after their biomechanical profiles, keeping them moving so that they could maintain being as injury free as possible. I decided that we needed them both to train together as Lee (the triathlete) needed to work on his endurance and Alan (the ultra marathoner) need to work on his speed.

We met up on a crisp Monday evening at Paddington Recreation ground in London and unbeknown to me they had invited some friends along to join in the session. That night OneTrack was born.

Who are we?

Three years later we are just as informal, fun loving, free of charge but serious about the task in hand. We now currently have four Team GB Age-Group athletes on the team, mainly in triathlon and Iron Man.

We are also home to a number of sub-three-hour marathon runners, as well as some runners that are finding their feet with regards to distances and sports.

We are not for everyone. We appeal to the person that is not afraid to chase down something that they know is out of reach at the moment; on the premise that it might not be out of reach in months to come.

We appeal to the runner that has already been bitten by the bug and is now looking to see what they are capable of.

We have a strong work ethic, come rain, sun or snow we are on the track and putting the miles in.

Join us 6:45pm every Monday at Paddington Recreation Ground.

With a team of twenty runners that all have full-time jobs and lives to live we understand if you can’t make it sometimes. London is a hectic city and we don’t need another thing to stress about.

The sessions are free of charge for this very reason. We want to build a community of like-minded people that can bounce off each other and succeed at what they love.
